Nofu Chronicles #10 - NoFu Skin Studio Inside Of Spank Salon
/NoFu Clinical Skincare's journey began inside of Spank Salon, Alameda, where the flagship salon had been transformed from an old woodworking shop into a vibrant and artistically decorated space. Starting from scratch without any clients proved to be a strength builder for me. Coupons were given to clients coming into the salon for their hair, and online deals such as Groupon were offered to attract new customers. Over time, the clientele grew as the business fixed client after client's skin, which proved to be the best advertising. Word soon got out that NoFu Clinical Skincare could fix acne through its skin bootcamp packages, which included products and three visits with the business owner. The consultations were a hit, as education was the only way to get to the root of all the brand new clients' skin issues.
Owning my own business would have me realizing just how damaging the sun can be to the face. This led to the inclusion of the importance of daily sun hats to prevent melanoma. New parents would come in before babies, and their skin was hyperpigmentation-free. However, going to the park daily would prove to be detrimental to the delicate face skin, leading to the addition of a hat rack and local hats from San Leandro Hat company as a new purchase option for facials and peels.
As I had a brand new route to work, the neighbor across the street from me at home would always shout out, "saving the world one face at a time." I loved this and it started my day out blessed.
